Can I import my contacts from other mail programs such as Outlook?
Under your contacts you have the ability to not only import your contacts, but manage them into groups, and export back out. We give you the flexibility to do it all.
Can I upgrade my storage space?
After registering for your free account, you have the option of upgrading your account to a "Premium Member Account" where you will receive 2 gigabytes of space, and several more features. Some of which include: Mobile access, SMS capabilities, and *Coming Soon* Faxing, from your own computer. Upgrading your account is easy to do, and only costs $3.49 USD a month.
Do you offer custom packages for corporate, or personal accounts?
Our service tailors to all users from all over the world. We currently have over 25,000 users who use our service daily with over 100 different custom packages designed to suit everyone. If you do not see a service offered, feel free to contact us and we will be happy to help create something to suit your needs.
Does it cost anything to register?
Absolutely not. Register any e-mail you choose for free. With the option to upgrade to a Premium Account at your convenience.
Does your service support Mobile devices such as the iPhone?

How can I add a signature to my e-mails?
To add or edit your signatures go to your settings tab, and click on the "Signatures" area, This is were you add/edit your signiture. We also offer the ability to add a plain text signature or an html based signature.
How can I upgrade my account?
Once you have logged into your e mail account, Click on the settings icon. From here, click on "Account Upgrade" and follow the steps to upgrade your account instantly.
How does your company deal with spam?
Our service provides cutting edge technology for filtering your junkmail. We allow you to approve and disapprove e-mail senders with a simple click of a mouse. Not only do we allow you to choose who sends you e-mails, we let you choose your spam filtering agression in your settings.
How much e-mail space do I get when I register?
Our default accounts start with 100mb of e-mail space and an additional 100mb of storage space.
Under contacts, what does the Auto Complete feature do?
This feature revolutionizes the way you add your contacts to your contact list. If you are in a situation where you have several contacts to add, but no time to tediously enter all their information, this feature only requires the persons first, last name, and e mail address. Automatically an e mail will be sent to the new contact instructing them to enter their information for you. This will save you hours of important time.
What are Aliases?
An alias gives you the ability to add additional email address to your account. For example. You may login to the website with johndoe@figmedia.com, however, we give you the ability to a new alias johnd@figmedia.com, even johndoe@lummail.com. All your aliases can be used as your login information when you log onto your email accounts. An alias can also be yourname@yourdomain.com providing you own your a domain.
What does the sms function do?
Our sms service allows you to send your text messages right from you email box. Not only can you send your friends, family, and business partners text messages, but you can set your calendar events to remind you by text before they begin.
What is a CSV file?
A comma-separated values (CSV) file is used for the digital
storage of data structured in a table of lists form, where each
associated item (member) in a group is in association with others also
separated by the commas of its set. Each line in the CSV file
corresponds to a row in the table. Within a line, fields are separated
by commas, each field belonging to one table column. Since it is a
common and simple file format, CSV files are often used for moving
tabular data between two different computer programs, for example
between a database program and a spreadsheet program.
What is an auto responder?
An auto responder allows your to setup a predefined e-mail message to users who email you.
For example:
You are headed out of town for a vacation and will be unable to respond to your emails during this time, you can setup you auto responder to automatically respond to all your incoming e-mails letting your contacts know you will be away for a certain duration of time.
Other Uses:
Perhaps you answer your company e-mail through figmedia and want to let your clients know you received their messages and will reply shortly.

What is POP3?
POP3 is an internet-based standard for retrieval of e-mail by a user
from an e-mail server. POP stands for Post Office Protocol. The "3"
means it is the third revision of the standard; POP1 and POP2 were made
obsolete by POP3, which has been popular for many years now.
For users, there are two primary e-mail operations: receiving and sending.
When you send mail, your server first checks to make sure you are a
valid user, queues up the message to be sent, and then contacts the
recipient's mail server. The recipient's server can do any number of
extra verification steps, including scanning your message for viruses,
checking to see if the sender is a spammer or other blacklisted entity,
and then stores the e-mail for the user.
For receiving e-mail, you initiate a connection with the server,
your username and password are sent, and then the server responds with
your queued e-mail as a batch. The default action when you "POP" your
e-mail is to delete it from the server, but some implementations allow
you to configure your client to keep the e-mail on the server until you
specifically delete it. If you keep too much mail on your server,
however, your provider may complain, or may periodically delete aged
e-mail.

What is the SSL checkbox used for?

Figmedia servers have been upgraded today. Because of our new trasition we've had a few bugs that have been fixed over the past few days. The new servers should increase all users mailbox performance.
